You may have heard of the movement to change the name of Christmas trees to Holiday trees. In fact, some would like to remove the name Christmas and replace it with the word holiday on everything having anything to do with December 25^th.

The important fact that these people seem to miss is that without Jesus Christ this day is just another day. If was not for Jesus Christ then most people many years ago would have possibly been spending the day getting ready for New Years celebrations. There would not have been a day to celebrate. My point is that December 25^th would have been just another day.

Let us look at another day to make this real. Why do we celebrate January 16^th?  We celebrate the many wonderful changes that took place because of the life of Martin Luther King Jr. If we remove him from the day then January 16^th is just another day for most people. You simply cannot remove the reason for the day because you do not like it. Some people may not agree with what Martin Luther King Jr. stood for but it would be silly to change the day to another name just to keep the holiday.

So please think before you take Jesus Christ out of CHRISTmas. You can remove Him by saying happy holiday because you do not want to offend someone who most likely would not be offended or by simply writing X-MAS on boxes. If you have Microsoft Word then type X-MAS. You will see that this computer program knows it is wrong and tries to change it to Christmas. Please do not email Microsoft to change this. They have it right!

In closing, I just want to state that without Jesus Christ in Christmas then we just have a day that we all agree to give each other presents. I hope you agree this is a little silly. Please do not react to what I have written to quickly. Think about it. Who would profit from this issue? Could it be the politically correct organizations that can only stay in business if they have issues to fight for? Without your hard-earned money donating to these organizations, they would be out of business.
